Have you ever seen a chair made of ceramic?
A ceramic chair goes against the traditional materials used for chair making.
The material selection was inspired by the idea of taking a material normally found in the world of sinks and toilets and bringing it to the world of chairs, as a sort of homage to Marcel Duchamp's Fountain. The ceramic chair intends to generate a discussion about chairs, their use and functionality, as well as their place in the world. The seat and the back rest of the chair are made from a ceramic formed by slip casting and the chair legs are made of oak wood.
